Studio 701 is operated by two local Lynchburg photographers. We work together to manage, promote, and develop the studio into a space that photographers all over Lynchburg and the surrounding area can use to bring their photography to a new level.

Matt has been a portrait photographer since 2018, specializing in the use of antique film cameras and classic manual lenses. Matt is the technical expert and the one to talk to about equipment functionality and numbers.

We are a pair of professional photographers based in Lynchburg Virginia, united by our passion for photography and creativity. We strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment for photographers of all levels. With different levels of expertise, we provide specialized education and a hands-on approach to assisting in your photographic needs. Studio 701 believes that collaboration and connection is an important part of our community and our goal is to help others grow & succeed in their photographic goals. We work with local organizations (University of Lynchburg, Downtown Lynchburg Association, Lynchburg Film Festival) to educate and provide resources and experience to our community. We organize meet-ups, photo walks, and networking events, providing opportunities for photographers, videographers and other creatives to connect, collaborate, and inspire one another.
